Pedestrian critically injured after being struck by vehicle in Flagler County

A 63-year-old Palm Coast man was airlifted to the hospital on Monday after being struck by a vehicle leaving a private driveway in Flagler County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said an SUV, being driven by a 40-year-old Palm Coast woman, was at a stop sign on a private driveway around 1:18 p.m. The driver made a left turn onto Palm Coast Parkway when a pedestrian ran across the road into the path of the SUV.

Troopers said the man was airlifted to Halifax Hospital in critical condition.

The crash remains under investigation.
