A woman is dead after she was hit by a car while crossing the street in a wheelchair.
Ocala Police say around 9:15 p.m. March, 1.
A woman in a wheelchair was crossing at Northwest Blitchon Road and US-27 when a driver of a Mazda hit her.
The woman was taken to the hospital where she later died.
OPD officials say the crash is still under investigation.
