Pedestrian dies after being struck by bus in Miami Beach

A pedestrian died Thursday night after being struck by a bus in Miami Beach, authorities confirmed.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at about 7:20 p.m. along the eastbound lanes of Interstate 195 near Alton Road.

Troopers said the victim walked into the roadway and was struck by an oncoming bus.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to troopers, the roadway was closed during the preliminary investigation, but all lanes have since reopened
