The road is now back open after law enforcement officials said a pedestrian was hit near Star Avenue and Highway 231 on New Year’s Eve.
It happened around 11:30 p.m.
The crash closed the intersection of Highway 231 and Star Avenue on the north side of the highway for a couple of hours.
Drivers traveling northbound on Highway 231 were being detoured down Star Avenue.
Drivers wanting to access Highway 231 from Star Ave. had to take an alternative route.
The victim’s condition is unknown at this time.
