Pedestrian in wheelchair killed on Dale Mabry

A pedestrian crossing Dale Mabry highway in Tampa while in a wheelchair was killed late Saturday night, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

At 11:25 p.m., a 39-year-old Kissimmee man was heading east across Dale Mabry within the 8100 block when he traveled in front of a driver.

A 23-year-old Belleair man, who was traveling northbound on the highway, struck the man in the wheelchair.

The pedestrian died at the scene of the crash.
