Pedestrian injured in Lee County hit-and-run crash.

A pedestrian was seriously injured after a hit-and-run crash along SR-80 on Sunday.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, around 2:50 a.m., an unknown vehicle was driving along Palm Beach Boulevard, east of Miramar Road.

A 20-year-old Fort Myers man was attempting to cross SR-80 when the front of the car crashed into him.

He was seriously injured and taken to a local hospital.

The car fled the scene after the crash.

FHP states the car is possibly a 2017 to 2019 black Honda Civic.

Anyone with information regarding this crash is asked to contact the Florida Highway Patrol or Crimestoppers.
