The Florida Highway Patrol reports that the crash happened around 7:20 p.m. Saturday on us-41 and 69th Avenue West in Bradenton.
According to the release, the sports vehicle was traveling south on US-41 in the middle lane, while the person was walking east across the southbound lanes of US-41 entering the path of the sports vehicle, causing the vehicle to hit the pedestrian.
The 63-year-old pedestrian received serious injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
This crash is still an ongoing investigation.
