Pedestrian killed in crash in Bay County

A 61-year-old man is dead after being hit by a truck in Panama City.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, around 10:40 p.m. Sunday, a pickup truck was traveling in the northbound lane of County Road 2315 when they hit a pedestrian also traveling north.

The pedestrian was thrown from the force of the impact, colliding into the mailbox of a home on Star Ave.

He succumbed to his injuries and was later pronounced dead at Ascension Sacred Heart Bay Hospital.
