A 42-year-old Jacksonville woman was struck and killed by a pickup truck Friday night while walking on Interstate 95, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash happened just after 9:25 p.m. in the northbound lanes of I-95, north of International Golf Parkway.
Troopers said the woman was walking in the left lane when she was hit by a pickup truck. The driver was unable to see her in time, FHP said. After the collision, the woman hit the guardrail.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
