A 21-year-old man died Monday morning after he was hit on Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

A 37-year-old man was driving a truck tractor north on Martin Luther King Jr. Pkwy around 9 a.m.

As the driver approached the signal traffic controlled intersection of Fairfax Street, the report said the 21-year-old stepped out in front of the truck’s path and was fatally hit.

The report said the truck driver was uninjured.
