A fatal crash occurred late Tuesday on Tamiami Trail, near Vanderbilt Beach Road in Collier County, resulting in the death of a pedestrian.

According to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred around 8 p.m., and the investigation is being handled by the Florida Highway Patrol.

FHP has confirmed the pedestrian involved succumbed to their injuries.
