Police are searching for two vehicles that hit and killed a pedestrian along Palm Beach Boulevard near Veronica Shoemaker Boulevard in Fort Myers.

According to the Fort Myers Police Department, the east and westbound lanes of Palm Beach Boulevard were closed following the crash. They are back open.

Police said a man was killed after two vehicles hit him and drove off from the area. Police said a white pickup truck and a black SUV were involved.

This is the second fatal crash to happen along the roadway in the last few days. On Saturday, a bicyclist was hit and killed on Palm Beach Boulevard as well.
