South Daytona police are investigating a fatal crash that involved two vehicles and a pedestrian Sunday morning.

The crash occurred around 9:35 a.m. in the 2400 block of S. Ridgewood Avenue, the South Daytona Police Department said in a news release.

Citing preliminary information, police said that the pedestrian was struck by at least one vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. The drivers of both vehicles involved remained at the scene and were cooperating with the investigation, the release states.
