One person suffered serious injuries and another was suspected of DUI connected to a crash in Tampa’s South Howard neighborhood early Monday morning.
Tampa police said the crash happened just before 3 a.m. on South Howard Avenue at West Azeele Street.
The driver swerved and hit someone standing behind their car, according to police. They were taken into custody under suspicion of DUI.
The pedestrian who was struck was seriously hurt, but was in stable condition on Monday.
