A pedestrian is dead after being struck by a van on Lee Boulevard in Fort Myers Friday morning.
The Fort Myers Police Department responded to the scene around 7:05 a.m.
FMPD said a pedestrian was struck by a van after failing to use a crosswalk. The pedestrian was taken to the hospital where police said they succumbed to their injuries.
The pedestrian’s identity has not been shared at this time. No further information surrounding this information has been shared.
