Pensacola man killed in motorcycle crash in Escambia County

A 36-year-old Pensacola man died during a motorcycle crash on Sunday, according to FHP.

FHP says the crash occurred around 4:27 p.m. at the intersection of Rock Island Pl and SR 296 Beverly Pkwy, involving a black Audi sedan and a silver Triumph motorcycle.

Troopers say the 36-year-old man was driving west on SR 296 when the Audi driven by a 40-year-old Pensacola man with a59-year-old Pensacola woman as a passenger failed to yield and entered the roadway into the path of the motorcycle.

FHP says this caused the motorcycle to collide with the left rear side of the Audi.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead on the scene and the driver and passenger of the Audi were transported to Baptist Hospital by Escambia County EMS with minor injuries, according to FHP.
