PHOTOS: Truck runs over guardrail after driver suffers medical emergency in Hillsborough County

A commercial truck ran off the road and over a guardrail on Thursday, Florida Highway Patrol announced.

Around 6:35 a.m., a 60-year-old Tampa man was driving a commercial truck eastbound on SR-400 near Branch Forbes Road when the driver suffered a medical emergency.

The driver attempted to pull the truck over to the shoulder but accidentally accelerated, leading the truck to collide with and travel over the guardrail.

Florida Highway Patrol said the driver suffered no injuries.
