Pickup truck catches fire on I-95 in St. Lucie County

If your Monday morning commute in St. Lucie County looked a little smoky, it’s because a pickup truck caught fire on I-95.

According to the St. Lucie County Fire District, crews responded to a vehicle fire on I-95 near mile marker 175. When firefighters arrived, they found a Ford F-250 engulfed in flames on the shoulder of the interstate. The fire temporarily affected traffic.

Firefighters launched an aggressive attack on the fire while the Florida Highway Patrol worked to keep the scene safe for motorists.

No other vehicles were involved, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
