A pickup truck driver was involved in a single-vehicle crash Saturday night in Cottage Hill, where the truck collided with a tree and a bathtub.
The incident occurred at 11:28 p.m. when the driver veered off the roadway in the 700 block of William Ditch Road, according to NorthEscambia.com.
The truck struck an old claw-foot bathtub, which was being used as a decorative planter in a front yard, before hitting a tree and finally coming to rest in a ditch several houses away.
Initial reports from the scene suggested that the driver may have experienced a medical emergency before the crash.
The driver was transported to a local hospital by Escambia County EMS for evaluation and treatment.
The Florida Highway Patrol is currently investigating the crash. Escambia County Fire Rescue also responded to the scene.
