Pickup truck driver knocks down pole, crashes into home in Miami

he driver of a pickup truck went on a dangerous drive when they knocked down a light pole and then barreled into a home in Miami.

City of Miami Police and Fire Rescue units were dispatched to the scene of a crash in the area of Northwest 12th Avenue and 26th Street in Miami on Thursday night.

7News cameras captured the aftermath of the crash. The damaged truck was parked next to the home with a pole on top of it and a massive hole in one of the walls of the house.

The man who lives at the home said he was not there at the time of the crash, but his sister and two small nieces were.No injuries were reported, but those living in the home are currently not allowed back inside.

“They said it was structural damage, but [because of] the structural damage, it’s not safe for us to stay in there,” said the man who lives in the home.

The pole has since been removed. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
