A pickup truck stopped on a gateless railroad track was struck by an Amtrak train Saturday in Indiantown.

According to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO), the crash happened at the SW Amaryllis Street crossing, where the track is not protected by a gate or flashing signal.

Officials say the driver of the Chevrolet truck was uninjured; however, the impact totaled his truck.

The train was also reportedly forced to stop for repairs. The crash is under investigation at this time.
