Police: 1 killed in drug-related shooting in Plantation

 Authorities in Broward County are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Wednesday at an apartment complex.

It happened along the 4000 block of Northwest 10th Court in Plantation.

A Local 10 News crew observed a number of officers at the scene.

Residents told Local 10 News’ Samiar Nefzi that they heard at least three shots, adding that two people were shot, one person in the chest, another in the leg.

Plantation police later confirmed that one person was shot and killed. They did not disclose any information about a possible second victim.

According to police, preliminary findings show that the shooting was drug-related.

No other details were immediately released.
