Ocoee Police Department is investigating a parking lot shooting after a victim was found with gunshot wounds on Wednesday.
According to OPD, officers responded to a shooting in a parking lot located at 1560 Silver Star Road in Ocoee at around 1:22 p.m.
When they arrived, they found a person lying on the ground and unresponsive to gunshots.
Ocoee firefighters and paramedics rendered first aid, and the victim was taken by chopper to a local hospital in critical condition.
Witnesses at the scene said the suspect left in a silver sedan-type vehicle. However, officers have not located the suspect.
“A customer that was passing by said they seen somebody running away from the scene and a car driving away from the scene and I’m like, ‘Okay,'” said Benny Padin, a witness working at a nearby McDonald’s.
Padin said he heard about eight shots fired in the parking lot while he was at work.
