Police investigate fatal train-pedestrian collision in West Palm Beach

Police are investigating a fatality involving a pedestrian and train in West Palm Beach early Wednesday morning.

The West Palm Beach Police Department (WPBPD) said that officers responded to a train and pedestrian incident near Parker Avenue and Caroline Street around 5:10 a.m.

At the scene, officers said the person was discovered near the train tracks and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
