According to a news release, the incident happened at approximately 5:20 p.m. after a report of a person who had been shot multiple times.
Upon arrival, officers attempted to render lifesaving aid; however, efforts were unsuccessful.
Officers confirmed the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
