Police: Man in custody after stabbing his father in Lauderhill

A man was taken into custody early Tuesday morning after he stabbed his father in a parking lot in Lauderhill, authorities confirmed.

According to Lauderhill police, officers were called to the 5400 block of West Oakland Park Boulevard just before 1 a.m. in reference to the stabbing.

Police said officers found the victim at the scene suffering from multiple stab wounds.

He was transported to Broward Health Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to authorities, detectives discovered that the victim and his son had gotten into an argument in the parking lot before the victim’s son started stabbing him.

Police confirmed that the son was taken into custody.

No other details were immediately released.
