Police: Milton man pepper-sprayed after putting officer in headlock

A Milton man put an officer in a headlock after police responded to his home for a domestic disturbance, according to Milton Police.

HD, 54, is charged with:

  • battery on a law enforcement officer
  • domestic battery
  • resisting arrest

According to police, officers were called to the home for D acting physically aggressive toward his spouse.

Police say that upon arrival, D fled into his home and physically resisted arrest.

“During that resistance, D assaulted one of the officers, placing him in a headlock,” police say in a release.

An officer then used pepper spray before taking D into custody, according to police.

D was medically cleared before being transported to the Santa Rosa County Jail.
