Police release identity of two men found shot to death in car in Northwest Jacksonville

Update: The victims in this shooting have been identified as Anton Brown, 40, and Travis Williams, 45, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

Police are searching for answers after two men were found dead in a vehicle in the middle of a Northside road.

Jacksonville Sheriff’s officers responded to the 7000 block of Garden Street regarding a vehicle blocking the middle of the road, the agency said.

Officers found two men dead inside a vehicle from apparent gunshot wounds. They have not been identified.

Detectives have responded and are conducting the investigation, which is ongoing.

“At this time, we do not know the circumstances of the incident or the relationships of those involved. Because of this, the classification of the incident is pending,” JSO said in a release.
