Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel helped the injured after a shooting on Monday afternoon in Miami Gardens. It stemmed from a school fight, police said.

According to MDFR, there were four injured — including two pediatric patients. There was another adult injured who refused help.

Police officers responded to the shooting near Northwest 197 Street near 14 Court, just east of the Florida Turnpike. According to Officer Diana Delgado, a spokeswoman for the Miami Gardens Police Department, the fight was at Norland Senior High School.

“One of the parents came over to speak to another parent and that’s when another altercation happened,” Delgado said. “An argument started and someone fired.”

Fire rescue rushed to Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital’s pediatric trauma center in southern Broward County.

Detectives asked anyone with information about this or other cases to call Miami-Dade County Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
