Detectives were investigating a man’s death after a shooting on Sunday morning in Lauderhill, police said.
According to Lt. A G, a spokesman for the Lauderhill Police Department, the shooting was outside of a house along Northwest Seventh Street.
Lauderhill Fire Rescue personnel also responded and pronounced the man dead, near Northwest 39 Avenue, according to G.
The shooter called 911 and was cooperating with detectives, according to G. Dispatch records show the call for service was shortly after 3:50 a.m.
“A preliminary investigation indicates that a confrontation occurred outside the residence between the victim and the caller, who did not know the victim prior to the incident,” G wrote in a statement.
