Police: Shooting injures 1 in Fort Lauderdale

A shooting injured one person on Saturday afternoon in Fort Lauderdales, police said.

Fort Lauderdale police officers responded shortly after 1 p.m., to the Coral Ridge Isles area and blocked access to the street ending at the Casa Del Sol apartment building, at 1400 NE 57 St.

“FLPD has three people detained on scene and we are working to determine if there are any further outstanding suspects involved,” Detective Ali Adamson wrote in a statement.

The shooting victim arrived at Broward Health Imperial Point, a hospital north of the crime scene at 6401 N. Federal Highway, in Fort Lauderdale.

Detectives asked anyone with information about the case to call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
