Port Charlotte man dies following alleged hit-and-run in Boca Raton

The Boca Raton Police Department is investigating a deadly hit-and-run. The police department said the incident occurred at 3:03 a.m. Thursday. A person spotted the body in the roadway at 121 NW 40th Street.

The victim was identified as 36-year-old Shawn Ryan Matthews of Delray Beach.

The police department said that no suspect, vehicle information or vehicle debris was found at the scene. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call Officer Crawford at 561-620-6227.
