A 43-year-old Port Orange man was killed early Tuesday when his pickup truck crashed into a canal, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash happened just after midnight on Tomoka Farms Road near Halifax Drive.
According to a crash report, the man was heading south on Tomoka Farms Road when the truck ran off the roadway and overturned into a canal.
The man was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
Video from the scene also showed what appeared to be stacks of cash in the road.
The roadway was shut down until about 5:30 a.m.
