A Port St. Lucie woman is accused of shooting her ex after police said she learned her ex was moving out.
The Port St. Lucie Police Department (PSLPD) said57-year-old Lisa Brightman was booked for first-degree attempted homicide after shooting a 42-year-old woman at the home they shared onSW Acco Road, off AW Aviation Avenue on Monday night.
PSLPD said it received reports of a domestic violence-related shooting. Following an investigation, police determined thatBrightman shot the woman four times with a 9mm handgun after finding out she was moving out of the home they shared together after their romantic relationship ended.
Police said the victim was rushed to a local hospital with life-threatening, but stable injuries.
