Propane tanker truck fatally strikes woman crossing street in Pasco County

A Freightliner propane tanker truck fatally hit a pedestrian Monday morning in Pasco County, Florida Highway Patrol announced.

The tanker truck, driven by a 62-year-old Hudson man, was traveling westbound in the right turn lane on SR-52 at the intersection of Grand Boulevard around 5:46 a.m.

A female pedestrian, 43, from New Port Richey, was walking across the street in a crosswalk when she walked into the path of the truck as it began to turn on Grand Boulevard under a red traffic signal, according to FHP.

The pedestrian died at the scene of the crash.
