An Anti-ICE protester was taken to the hospital with minor injuries after being hit by an SUV in downtown Ocala Sunday afternoon.
The incident took place during a protest held at the Downtown Square.
Ocala officers say the crash was not targeted. They said the driver didn’t see the man while turning.
Officials say a pro-Trump protest started nearby after the anti-ICE protest ended. Neither of the protests was pre-approved by the city.
