A man’s leg was ran over by a vehicle outside of Alligator Alcatraz on Saturday.
The incident happened after a Jeep hit a protestor outside the entrance of the detention center on U.S. 41.
The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene after it happened.
Florida Highway Patrol responded to the incident.
The protestor was injured and taken to Kendall Regional Hospital.
