Red Cross helping 13 adults, 1 child after fire at Arlington townhomes: JFRD

A fire at an Arlington townhouse complex early Tuesday morning left 13 adults and one child in need of assistance from the Red Cross, according to the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department.

The fire broke out around 5:20 a.m. Tuesday and affected five units on Oaks Hollow Court, which is in a townhome complex just off Arlington Expressway, east of Arlington Road.

JFRD said the fire reached the attic, which is possibly why it spread.

Multiple fire units responded, and no injuries were reported.

The fire marshal will investigate the cause of the fire.
