OCALA, Fla. (WCJB) – A pedestrian died after being struck by a train Sunday morning in Ocala.
Police say officers came to the scene around 7:53 a.m. on the 500 block of Southwest 3rd Street for a reported death investigation.
Authorities say there is no danger to the community, and the investigation is ongoing.
As police investigate, Southwest 3rd Street is closed from South Pine Avenue to Southwest 7th Avenue.
The road is expected to stay closed for several hours. Police urge drivers to use alternate routes.
