Roads are closed after a car crashed into a canal in Clewiston on Thursday morning.
According to the Hendry County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to reports of a vehicle in a canal in the area of County Road 833 and Montura Avenue at around 6 a.m.
Four people were inside the car, but all of them were able to get out and are now safe, HCSO said.
Both the north and southbound lanes of traffic on CR-833 are closed for a period of time, with deputies redirecting traffic around the scene utilizing Montura Avenue. Both lanes have since reopened.
