Roof ripped off car after major crash in Cape Coral

Cape Coral police are investigating after a major crash ripped the roof off of a car in Cape Coral late Wednesday evening.

The crash happened on Pine Island Road, off Nicholas Parkway, just after 11 p.m.

Police said it was a single-vehicle crash in which the car left the roadway and rolled several times.

CCPD said the driver was ejected from the car. The driver was taken to Gulf Coast Hospital where officer said it was determined that the injuries were non-life threatening.
