A crash on the Sawgrass Expressway in Broward involving a tractor-trailer and a dump truck left drywall scattered across the roadway and led to a portion of it being shut down Wednesday morning, officials said.
The crash happened around 2:20 a.m. in the southbound lanes of the expressway near Sample Road, the Florida Highway Patrol.
FHP officials said the tractor-trailer rear-ended the dump truck, causing the tractor-trailer to hit the concrete barrier wall and lose its load of drywall.
No one was injured or hospitalized, officials said.
The crash left all southbound lanes of the expressway closed while crews worked to remove the drywall and a portion of the barrier wall that entered the roadway.
The emergency response also shut down two northbound lanes.
Drivers were forced off at Sample Road. The roadway has since reopened.
