A school bus was involved in a single-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon in Okeechobee County, prompting a temporary road closure along a stretch of U.S. Highway 441 North.
The Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) said the accident occurred near 11500 US Hwy 441 N. Officials confirmed that no students were on board at the time of the crash, and no students were involved.
Deputies and emergency crews responded to the scene, and the roadway was shut down as investigators worked to clear the area and assess damage. Drivers are urged to find alternate routes until the highway reopens.
OCSO says updates will be provided once the roadway is cleared and traffic resumes.
