A row of cars erupted in flames when a junk car lot seemingly exploded early Thursday morning.

The blaze was reported around 3 a.m. at a car lot for damaged and totaled vehicles off Corporate Road South and Park of Commerce Boulevard in Jupiter. After a few hours on scene, firefighters brought the blaze under control.

The call was logged as an explosion, and when first responders arrived, they found a row of cars engulfed in flame. There were about 20 to 30 scorched cars in total.

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue didn’t specify if anyone was at the scene when the fire broke out, but no injuries were reported.

Once the flames died down, investigators found it was likely accidental.
