Sebastian Man, 43, Dies in Fiery Motorcycle Crash on Malabar Road

A 43-year-old man from Sebastian died on Thursday morning following a fatal motorcycle accident on Malabar Road in Brevard County.

The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) told Sebastian Daily the accident involved a 2007 Honda TX1300R motorcycle and a 2021 GMC Savana. Both vehicles were driving west.

As the motorcyclist was passing multiple vehicles in a no-passing zone, the Savana made a left turn, causing the motorcycle to slide under the van, resulting in both vehicles catching fire.

The motorcycle rider was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the Savana was unharmed and stayed at the crash site. 

The FHP is still investigating the accident, and the identity of the deceased has not been released.
