Local firefighters were called to a gas station in Ocala on Wednesday morning after receiving reports that a tractor-trailer caught on fire.
At around 7:30 a.m., Marion County Fire Rescue units were dispatched to the BP gas station located at 7947 W Highway 40 in Ocala.
According to MCFR, multiple 911 callers reported that a white tractor-trailer was on fire, and the vehicle was in the vicinity of the gas pumps.
Within five minutes, MCFR’s Meadowood Farms Station #12 unit arrived at the scene and observed flames on the tractor-trailer’s wheels.
MCFR stated that the fire had reached inside the trailer, which was carrying beverages including soft drinks.
The firefighters used an on-site fire hydrant to combat the flames, and the fire was under control within three minutes.
There were no injuries reported.
