ANTHONY, Fla. (WCJB) — A multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 75 temporarily blocked traffic early Friday morning after a semi-truck overturned and crossed into oncoming lanes, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
State troopers said the semi was traveling southbound when it overturned in northern Marion County at around 1 a.m. The truck crossed into the northbound lanes and struck two other vehicles.
Marion County Fire Rescue crews extricated the driver from the wreckage. The driver was then taken to the hospital with traumatic injuries.
Roadways in Marion County have since been cleared. State troopers are investigating the cause of the crash.
