One man is injured after an early morning shooting on Tuesday in Escambia County.
Deputies say the incident took place around 4:20 a.m. near Jahaza Road in Molino when a man and woman traveled from Atmore to a residence on Cedartown Road.
The woman stated she was invited by the homeowner, who had another woman present at the time.
An argument ensued between the two women and the homeowner intervened to break it up, according to deputies.
Deputies say as the visitors attempted to leave, the homeowner allegedly fired several shots. One struck the vehicle and another hit the male visitor in the back.
The man sustained a non-life-threatening wound, and charges are expected to be filed against the homeowner, who is a convicted felon, according to deputies.
