'Significant injuries': 4-year-old boy accidentally shoots himself in Poinciana, deputies say

A 4-year-old boy is hospitalized after accidentally shooting himself in Poinciana on Thursday, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office said.

Detectives said the shooting occurred at 3:30 p.m. on Amber Way.

The boy was taken to Arnold Palmer Hospital with a single gunshot wound.

“He is in ICU with significant injuries but reported to be in stable condition at this time,” Osceola County Sheriff’s Office Captain Kim Montes said.

No arrests have been made at this time.
