A South Florida man is behind bars after allegedly beating a woman and then burning her hand on a hot metal grill during a domestic incident on Wednesday.
According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to a home on Roberta Street, where it was found that the suspect, identified as AC, had struck the woman, leaving multiple bruises on her body, and then forcibly putting her hand on a hot metal grill.
Deputies say he also grabbed her phone and broke it multiple times as she tried to call 911. It was also alleged that C, 40, made several statements about killing the victim.
C was booked into the Monroe County Jail on Wednesday.
